Terms and Conditions

Tayview Caravan Park Terms and Conditions for Online and Telephone Bookings

Please note that we DO NOT allow tents of any kind at Tayview. Awnings are permitted providing they are attached to the caravan or motorhome.

Arrival and Departure Times:

Office closing times: Monday to Thursday 5pm, Friday 7pm and Saturday and Sunday 3pm. ALL arrivals must be in before closing.

Office opening times: Monday to Friday 9am, Saturday and Sunday 10am

After 5pm (Weekends vary), caravans and motorhomes must site themselves in the overnight spaces opposite reception. All hire units must arrive the following day after 9.00am. We reserve the right to re-let the pitch if you do not arrive by 5pm (Weekends vary) if no notification of late arrival is received. NO REFUNDS will be given for missed nights stay.

Lodge and S-Pod Arrival: is from 3pm – 5pm (Weekends vary) and departure is not later than 10am on day of departure.
Static Caravan Hire Arrival: is from 3pm - 5pm (Weekends vary) and departure is 10am on day of departure

Touring and Motorhome: arrival is from 12.30pm-5pm (Weekends vary) and depart 12pm on day of departure.

No commercial vehicles: or sign written vehicles of any type will be permitted to be parked next to any pitch. These vehicles may be used to transport your belongings onto its pitch but must be parked offsite afterwards. The management decision is final on vehicle qualification. We do not accept working parties at Tayview
 

Group Bookings: In the interests of all visitors Tayview Caravan Park reserves the right to refuse admission to any person or groups of persons at its discretion

 

Booking Offers: All offers can be withdrawn at any time. All offers are limited and subject to availability and may close before dates displayed.

Data Protection: All the information contained in our bookings is stored on our computer system for which we are registered and comply with the regulations of the Data Protection Act. We will not sell or share this information, and only use it for marketing and information purposes relating to Tayview Caravan Park with your consent.

Pets: Dogs & Cats are welcome in selected accommodation at an additional cost (a maximum of 2 dogs or cats per accommodation unit) provided that the park has been notified at the time of booking. Pets staying in pet friendly accommodation are expected to be kept off beds and all other furniture, please bring your pet(s) personal belongings to the accommodation as Tayview DO NOT provide any pet bedding etc. No pets must be left UNATTENDED in any accommodation units under any circumstances, if the management come across this situation then the hire will be terminated immediately with no refund. Where pets are allowed, they must be under the control of a responsible adult at all times (a short lead is required). We reserve the right to require the owner of any dog or other pet to remove it from the park if we consider it a nuisance or to be interfering with the general comfort of other guests. Please keep your pet under control as this may result in your stay being terminated.

Children: Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied to the toilets and showers. It is important that children respect the static pitches are private and not a play area of any description.

Contagious Diseases: Should anyone be suspected of having a contagious disease which has the potential to infect a large number of people in a short period of time, they will be asked to leave the park, or if this is not possible, restrictions will be placed upon them to prevent the virus being transmitted. We are unable to offer refunds in such circumstances and recommend that you take out holiday insurance cover to include sickness cover. 

Should the park be required to enter a quarantine or isolation period during your booking a full refund will be provided.

Customers who decide not to travel because of a contagious disease outbreak or pandemic will not be offered any form of refund.
 

Complaints Procedure: If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your break, please speak to the Park Reception. In most cases they will be able to help you immediately so that you can enjoy the rest of your stay. However, if you are still not satisfied, you must then make an appointment to see a member of management and record your complaint with them. If, at the end of the break you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily, please write to the general manager at the park no later than 28 days after the end of your break. We are only able to take action on any complaints which are first brought to the attention of the reception team whilst you are on your break and secondly received in writing within 28 days, unless there are exceptional circumstances. It is necessary for our park to impose these limitations so that we have the opportunity to solve the problems experienced. No action can be taken in respect of any complaint not brought to the attention of a member of park management during your stay. 

Holiday Contract: Our contract is made when you receive our written holiday confirmation or email confirmation. Our contract is subject to these conditions of booking. The personal details provided, including home address and age must be true and correct. We reserve the right to increase prices only where there is an increase in Value Added Tax. Please note that all prices shown are inclusive of VAT. We have the right to decrease the price on unsold holidays at any time. No data will be shared with third party.

Only those people listed on the booking form/confirmation can occupy your accommodation and use the facilities of the park. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated and you will be asked to leave, with no refund made. A booking may be transferred to a alternative date if available or to a alternative party at the discretion of the management and with a administration fee of £25.00.

For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation, where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking form or their guests might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests. 
We reserve the right to enter accommodation under any special circumstances or emergencies. 

It is possible that in some circumstances, accommodation, entertainment, or a facility may have to be temporarily withdrawn, due to maintenance, renovation, adverse weather conditions, changes in government legislation, or any other factor outside our control.

We reserve the right to make such alterations in the above circumstances without prior notice and are unable to accept liability for the loss of any advertised facility, or to pay compensation for any inconvenience caused. If you have any special requests regarding your holiday accommodation, please advise us when making your booking and confirm your request in writing. We will endeavour to meet your requests; however, this cannot be guaranteed. 
 

Breakage & Excess Cleaning Policy: Upon your arrival you will be asked for a preauthorised £100.00 damage and excess cleaning deposit which will be refunded in full within 5 working days after your departure under the condition that no damages are reported, or extra cleaning is required. Photographs will be taken to facilitate any claims made. If damage or cleaning exceeds £100 then a further claim will be made. You may be asked to pay a second deposit for a further week stay.

 

Payment: All bookings require to be paid in full at the time of booking. Payment will be taken on receipt of an email confirming your reservation.

Cancellations: It may be necessary to cancel your break due to illness, accident or change of circumstances. As soon as you know that you need to cancel please confirm your cancellation in writing. If you send any cancellation notices by email, we cannot be held liable for non-receipt of email cancellations, which we have not received.

Charges are calculated from the date that your written instructions of cancellation are received. Explained below:

 


LENGTH OF TIME CANCELLATION CHARGE:

Please note that the following criteria will apply to cancelations.

7 days or less Full Holiday Value:         no refund.

08-28 days 25% of Full Holiday Value will be refunded. Minimum £15.00 charge will apply.

29-42 days 50% of Full Holiday Value will be refunded. Minimum £15.00 charge will apply.

If you are outwith the 43 days or more a Full Holiday Value refund will be given less a £15.00 administration charge. This is to cover banking charges etc.

ALL CANCELLATIONS WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN ADMINSTRATION FEE OF £15.00.
For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation, where the unreasonable behaviour of the person’s named on the booking form or their guests might impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests. 
We endeavour to provide all facilities and entertainment as advertised in our brochure. It may however be necessary to make some alterations in advance of your holiday. If such a change is necessary, we will endeavour to advise you in writing as soon as possible. Although we will try very hard not to change the date or cancel your booking, in exceptional circumstances this may be necessary. We will inform you of the change of date or cancellation as soon as possible and give you the options listed below. 

Your options if we make a major change or cancel your booking:

 a) Accept the alternative arrangements as notified to you

b) Choosing another available break from us at the advertised price

 c) Cancelling your holiday with a full refund of any money you have paid 

 

We accept responsibility for those arrangements for your holiday which are within our control, but we cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered by you or any member of your party, unless one of the following applies: 1) There was wilful neglect by us or our employees, or 2) Death or personal injury was caused by the negligence Tayview Caravan Park, or our employees 

For all claims other than death or personal injury, which result from the non-performance or improper performance of the contract by Tayview Caravan Park, compensation will be paid that is reasonable in all circumstances. We take every care to ensure that the details of our brochure are accurate at the time of going to press. Photographs used in the brochure are intended for guidance only.
All bookings are subject to these Conditions of Booking and to availability.
